Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By accessing chocoswap.co or using any ChocoSwap interface, smart contracts, widget, API, or related service ("Services"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2. Nature of the Protocol

ChocoSwap is a non-custodial interface to decentralized smart contracts. We never hold, custody, or control user funds. All transactions are peer-to-protocol and executed by smart contracts on public blockchains. Routing for cross-chain swaps is delegated to third-party aggregators (currently Rango Exchange and integrations it aggregates).

3. No Investment Advice

Nothing on this site is financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. VNLA and CHOCO tokens are utility and governance assets, not securities. You are solely responsible for your decisions.

4. Risk Disclosure

• DeFi protocols may contain bugs, exploits, or economic attack vectors. Audits reduce but do not eliminate risk.
• Cross-chain bridges are among the highest-risk DeFi primitives. Third-party bridges aggregated through our interface carry their own risk.
• Token prices are volatile and can go to zero.
• Blockchain transactions are irreversible. Verify addresses and networks before every signature.
• You are responsible for safeguarding your private keys and seed phrases.

5. Eligibility

You represent that you are of legal age in your jurisdiction, not a resident of a country sanctioned by OFAC or subject to comprehensive sanctions, and not using the Services to evade sanctions or commit any illegal act.

6. Prohibited Activities

• Wash trading, market manipulation, or other deceptive trading practices.
• Using the Services to launder proceeds of crime or finance terrorism.
• Interfering with or disrupting the Services, servers, or networks.
• Scraping, cloning, or reverse-engineering the frontend (open-source license terms excepted).

7. Intellectual Property

Smart contracts are released under MIT / GPL-3.0 licenses as indicated in the GitHub repository. The frontend design, brand, wordmark "ChocoSwap", and VNLA/CHOCO logos remain the property of the project and may not be used to impersonate it.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from harmful components.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ChocoSwap and its contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising from your use of the Services. Total aggregate liability shall not exceed the fees paid by you to us in the preceding 12 months (typically zero for non-custodial DeFi).

10. Taxes

You are solely responsible for determining what taxes apply to your transactions and for reporting and remitting them to the appropriate tax authority.

11. Changes

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

Disputes will be governed by the laws of Singapore (protocol's originating jurisdiction), without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Personal jurisdiction is exclusively in Singapore.
